Club Challenge 1

The first stop in the six-race Fairly Reliable Bobs and Taco Bell Club Challenge Series attracted a temendous field of entries. Twenty-two clubs participated on a postively goregous night of racing. Temperatures climbed into the upper 70's on a sunfilled day and evening of action. With the level of interest and enthusiasm at race #1, we can't wait to see how things unfold at the second race on Friday, May 25th. Here's a handful of images from the opening stop for Club points.

Naughty Girls club leader Lisa Thomas came oh so close to the Bracket #1 title running 10.63 (10.61 dial)-123.08, but got edged out by Ken Windley (far side). The FPS driver ran 10.04 (10.00 dial)-124.93.

Ken Windley celebrates purchasing his Camaro back from his brother in Seattle with his FPS buddies in the winner's circle.

Shayne Schaefer collected a win for the newly merged Hot Shots and Desperate Househusbands team. He ran 12.94 (12.91 dial)-103.77 to stop Marc Riggs 10.88 (10.82 dial)-123.88 for Damage, Inc. (near lane).

Undefeated in 2007, Shayne Schafer has not lost a round of racing in three consecutive races this year. The Hot Shots will be chasing for the Bronze Cup this year.

How `bout that Lynde Fischer! Winning for the Naughty Girls, Lynde (near side) ran 15.01 (14.98 dial)-89.99 to defeat a redlighting John Maas, FPS Racing.

Always enthusiastic, the Naughty Girls were thrilled with Lynde's big Bracket #3 victory on April 27th.

Conquering Club Bracket #4, Galen Sielaff, PSI Racing, ran 15.75 (15.78 dial)-87.70 to upend Christopher Pierson, FPS Racing in the far lane.

Team PSI will definitely be in the hunt for the Silver Cup this season following the victory by Galen Sielaff over a field of 56 racers in Club #4.

Everyone better look out for the newly formed Middleton Crew this season. Billy Peterson carded a big win for the team by running 14.10 (14.00 dial)-100.23. He defeated the Hot Shots Jon Anderson, who fouled out by -.005.

We're betting the Middleton Crew will be on the recruiting trail in the weeks ahead following a big win in Club #4 for Billy Peterson. Look out for this club at the upcoming races!

The Firebird starting line staff included (l to r): Joel, Brian, Ernie, Tim, Kelly and Chatz, all of which helped conduct and run one of the biggest Club races in track history.
