Annually, one of the most popular series on the Firebird Drag Racing Schedule is the Friday night Fairly Reliable Bob’s Club Challenge events. Traditionally, two dozen clubs compete for points in the six-race championship in the Silver Cup (teams up to 32 racers), Bronze Cup (7-12 racers) and the Copper Cup (6 or fewer racers).

Defending champions include: PSI Racing (Silver), Kuna Draggers (Bronze) and the Hot Shots (Copper).

Individually, racers will also vie for a spot in the Dirty Dozen or Sweet 16 runoffs staged on Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2011, at the NAPA Halloween Classic. The overall winner of the Club Grand Championships will take home a new pull-along trailer thanks to Quality Trailer Sales. The reigning Club Grand Champion (2010 Classic) is Jeff Higgins, Down `n Dirty club.

Racing takes place throughout the course of the racing season on Friday nights and concludes on September 23rd, during the sixth Club Challenge Finals.

We hope you enjoy an assortment of fun photography from the Club Series, updated throughout the season, which is presented on behalf of Gary & Jessica Himes and the Firebird Staff.
