FAIRLY RELIABLE BOB’S CLUB CHALLENGE SERIES
Annually, one of the most popular series on the Firebird Drag Racing
Schedule is the Friday night Club Challenge events. Presented by Fairly
Reliable Bob’s, two dozen clubs compete for points in a six-race
championship in the Silver Cup (teams up to 32 racers), Bronze Cup (7-12
racers) and the Copper Cup (6 or fewer racers).
Reigning champions include the: Melba Outlaws (Silver), Kuna Draggers
(Bronze) and the Valley Vettes (Copper).
Individually, racers will also vie for a spot in the Dirty Dozen or
Sweet 16 runoffs staged on Wednesday afternoon, October 10, 2012, at the
NAPA Halloween Classic. The defending champion of the Club Grand
Championship held last October was Brent Borchers with the No Limit
Racing club.
Racing takes place throughout the course of the racing season on Friday
nights and concludes on September 7th at the sixth Club Challenge Series
Finals.
We hope you enjoy an assortment of fun photography from the Club Series,
updated throughout the season, which is presented on behalf of Gary &
Jessica Himes, Alex Charlton and the Firebird Staff.
