BARR AND MCCOY HELP TEAM FIREBIRD WIN FIFTH TITLE

Firebird racers conquered all challengers at the 31st edition of the Summit E.T. Finals over Labor Day weekend.

In Super Pro, Derric Barr hit a .050 reaction time and parlayed it into a winning 8.33 (8.30 dial)-153.26 to defeat Lyle Hood. Finishing runner-up, Hood ran 11.33 (11.30 dial)-118.54, with a .061 reaction.

Aaron McCoy defeated Canadian Gerald Patzer with a .050, 17.68 (17.55 dial)-77.63. Patzer was close, but finished second with a .086, 16.26 (16.10 dial)-82.69.

Other late round finishers for Team Firebird included: John Shaffer, Chris Jaggers, and Ed Cutler in the fourth round of Super Pro; David Deming in the sixth rd., Tom Davis in the fifth rd., and Lisa Thomas in the fourth rd. of Pro; Kristi Shawver in the fourth rd. of Sportsman; and David Wood in the third rd. of Sled/Bike.
