MISSION RACEWAY WILL HOST 2010 SUMMIT E.T. FINALS
Start making your plans to race at one of the
fastest tracks in all of North America. It’s time to
block your vacation plans right now for September
3rd thru 5th, 2010, when we plan to take 56 racers
to the famed Mission Raceway Park in Mission,
British Columbia. “Revin’ for Seven” will be Team
Firebird’s slogan next season when we attempt to
sweep a third straight and seventh overall team
championship in Canada.
As most will attest, Mission is “outer-space”
quick.
Quick as in jaw-dropping elapsed times and speeds,
as the track sits a few feet above sea level right
on the Fraser River. The setting is spectacular and
the air can be extraordinary, especially in the Fall
time of year.
Best of all and thanks largely to our first place
finish at Woodburn this past September,
all Firebird racers will park in Mission’s most
desirable pit area at next year’s race (a right of
the reigning team champs).
Many of you have already obtained a passport to
travel out of country, but for those of you who have
been looking for a reason to get one—here’s the
motivator to run down and secure one.
Bear in mind, you can’t pick up a passport in
a day or two, it takes time for all the processing
and paper work. Don’t procrastinate; act soon,
so this aspect of your trip gets taken care of
early.
Mark your calendars today for:
Event: Division 6 Summit E.T. Finals
2010 Venue: Mission Raceway Park,
Mission, British Columbia
Dates: Thurs. – Sun., September 2-5, 2010
Firebird Slogan: Firebird’s “Revin’ for Seven!”
We know most of you will plan to camp at the track,
but those who want to secure a hotel room early,
here’s our recommendation. The Best Western
Mission City Lodge is one (yes!), one mile
from the track and is a very nice property. You can
contact them direct to secure a discounted Mission
race track rate by calling (604) 820-5500. Don’t
wait too long to make a reservation, `cause they
have less than 100 rooms to fill (and we know these
will go rapidly).
Looking ahead to 2010, we’re already planning to
take the 56 toughest racers in the history of
Firebird to try and pull off a 7th team
championship. Make plans today to be a part of the
trek to Canada next Labor Day weekend.
