TWO NAUGHTY GIRL RACERS SCORE AT THIRD FAIRLY RELIABLE BOB’S CLUB CHALLENGE STOP

A strong field of racers were not discouraged after better than a half an inch of rain pummeled the raceway before the start of the Fairly Reliable Bob’s Club Challenge Series event. The third stop in the six-race series featured partly cloudy skies and near perfect early-June temperatures, which climbed comfortably into the lower 70’s.

The very enthusiastic Naughty Girls team earned two big victories in Bracket #1 and Bracket #5. Both Melissa Jarboe and Lisa Pattan successfully reached the Pepsi Winner’s Circle, helping build momentum going into the special Fox eliminator showcase on June 19th and 20th during the Fox Hunt double header. All ladies are invited to this special “race within a race” open to all lady participants during the Fox Hunt. A number of special awards and prizes (including a pair of spectacular hand sewn quilts from Jackie Alley-Big O Tires) will be offered on each of the two nights of the Fox Hunt weekend.

Jarboe’s colorful Vega was definitely red hot on June 12th, running 10.13, 10.16, 10.13, 10.12, and a final round 10.09 to stop Rick Sayers running for PSI. Pattan was equally impressive, defeating Lance Young with the Modern Rodders to help position the Naughty Girls right up near the top of the standings (in an extra close point’s battle with PSI).

Congratulations also goes out to Joe McDonald, PSI, Darron Hoskins, Neighbors Nightmare, and Richard Trotter with the Treasure Valley Mustangs in scoring their respective club divisions.

If you haven’t done it just yet, mark your calendars for Friday, July 3rd, for the fourth stop in the Club Series. After three events, it really looks like it’s going to be a nail biter right down to the finish.
