74 YEAR OLD LARRY HALE SCORES $2,000 ARMDROP LIVE TITLE

The oldest competitor at Armdrop Live, 74 year old Larry Hale, Buhl, won the 10-second heads up division with his 60 Studebaker at Firebird Raceway. Hale posted a 10.16 winning elasped time at 131.15 miles per hour to defeat the `71 Camaro of Dale Shippen, Rigby, who finished at 10.32-133.41. The victory was worth a $2,000 winner-take-all cash pot.

In the quickest class, Boise's Eric Nyborg, ripped off a 7.06 at 187.42 mph to stop the Middleton dragster of Chris Jaggers, who posted a 7.43-165.19.
