LAMBERT, HODGES & WITHERSPOON SWEEP GOLD CUP RACE VICTORIES

Positively beautiful weather greeted an outstanding field of racers for the Boise Muffler/Auto Body Paint & Supply Gold Cup point’s stop. With two point’s races left on schedule (at the Fall Swap Meet and Halloween Classic), the level of intensity was certainly up a notch or two.

In a superb Super Pro final, Steve Lambert edged out Joyce Devey to secure the top spot in the point’s standings. Lambert nailed an .020/8.62 (8.62 dial)-157.15 to just clip Devey’s .011/7.99 (7.97 dial)-168.69.

Jerry Hodges climbed into the top spot in the Pro rankings by winning Saturday’s event. In the final, Hodges ran .058/10.17 (10.18 dial)-131.29 to defeat Dan Tuttle who finished at .027/8.97 (8.98 dial)-146.67.

Congratulations to new track champions – Ryan Resinkin (Street Truck), Joseph Karnes (Outlaw Street), and Larry Saunders (Nostalgia) in sweeping their season long class championships.
