STINKER SEASON OPENER WILL JUMP START POINTS SERIES ON APRIL 14TH AND 15TH

SEASON OPENER, which is set to take place this Saturday and
Sunday, April 14th and 15th. This will be the opening weekend featuring
all point's classes and it's not just one, but TWO
back-to-back days of racing. The event is open to any and all
participants that might like to participate.
Gates will open daily at 9 am, followed by time trials from 10 am until
1:30 pm, and first round of eliminations at 2 pm, on Saturday and
Sunday. Best of all you can camp over on Saturday night and be ready for
The Opener will be the first opportunity to earn points in a multitude
of eliminators. It is the official kickoff to the Boise Muffler Gold Cup
Series. The two-day race will feature racing in: Kidd Performance Super
Pro, Performance Solutions Pro, United Oil Sportsman, Woody’s Sled/Bike,
Meadow Gold Jr. Lightning & Thunder, Capitol City Transmission
Nostalgia, Carl’s Cycle Sales Street Bike, Moffitt & Bratton Outlaw
Street, Wayne’s Transmissions Street Truck and the all-new Rich’s Auto
Care & Dyno Super Shifter class. Best of all, it’s not one, but two
separate days of racing.

Additionally, Sunday will mark the start of the Division 6 Land of the
Leaders Challenge in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Sled/Bike, Junior
Lightning and Thunder, a 4-race point’s chase at Firebird ranking
racers (based on round wins) amongst all participating tracks in the northwest.
The Season Opener will also be the start of Team Firebird’s quest for an
eighth year-end NHRA Northwest Track Championship. “DominEIGHT”
is our catch-phrase for the coming race season. 58 racers will earn an
opportunity to be on the 2012 team. The race will be hosted at Pacific
Raceways in Kent, Wash., over Labor Day weekend, so if you haven’t made
plans yet, do so today. Team Firebird plans to leave its mark at the
“Battle in Seattle” on August 30-Sept. 2, 2012.
