PSI, VALLEY VETTES, NAUGHTY GIRLS & HOT SHOTS SWEEP MAY CLUB EVENT

The second stop in the six-race Fairly Reliable Bob’s Club Challenge Series saw twenty-six clubs in competition under breezy, but sunny skies. Temperatures climbed into the upper 60’s on the second night event of the season. Making the most of the big evening of team racing was PSI, which is headed up by Matt Compton. Not only did PSI sweep two eliminator titles, but also moved into second place overall in the Silver Cup standings as the gap has shrunk significantly between them and the point leading Melba Outlaw team, which has team captain Jerry Trolard leading the way with the club that earned top honors in 2011.

In the Bronze Cup, Hot T & C had a strong showing. Their efforts proved meaningful as the Greg Davis inspired club moved ahead of the Kuna Knuckle Draggers and their captain Mike Smith for the top spot in the standings.

Both Venom and the Hot Shots (thanks to a big win by Deborah Anderson who makes the mega-drive with her husband Jon all the way from Long Beach, Washington for every Club event) have really engaged in quite the battle. Jason Squire (Venom) and Shayne Schaefer (Hot Shots) appear to be the early season favorites with a number of others looking to reel them in at the third event coming up on Friday, June 8th.
