Delbert Crossley (pictured in chair in front
of his trailer) drag raced throughout the northwest and Firebird from 1964
through 1978. His last trip down the Firebird quarter-mile occured nearly
three decades ago. He returned during the Wholesale Auto Brokers Spring
Warm Up & Swap Meet with his "Green Hornet" Studebaker. The
J/Altered still adorns all the original stickers in the back and side
windows, along with the same interior from when it last raced (right out
of the barn). Not sure if it sold or not, but the asking price was $3,000.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to us, especially with the values in
today's age of nostaligic drag race cars.
