Here's a very early shot of the famed "Gunfighter" `57 Ford of Gary Coe. This shot had to be taken in late `68 or early `69 against a front-engined rail that you can just barely see in the far lane. Several things jump out in this never-before-published image, I mean check out the wheel base of this dude - they've almost got the rearend a foot closer to the driver's door than stock! And no doubt the bumpers were removed to lighten up his combination. Even more fun is all the cars and trucks in the background. This was all hillside parking in the early days and you can see cars, even an early VW bus parked every which way up behind the original timing tower that sits on four giant stilts. Cool stuff in our opinion!
