Never before published, this is an early 70's shot of Lloyd Taylor racing against the "Banzai" Camaro of Pete Sather. At the same time, this is a proof sheet image of Carl Downard who accepted an award and jacket from Bill New at the `74 Banquet held at the Downtowner. Very few Banquet photos even exist in the Firebird photo archives, but it's fun getting to see both our Racemaster recipients in their earlier years.
