The announcement was just made that Firebird will offer the richest sportsman bracket race in the history of the forty-one year old Idaho race plant. All together, a whopping $75,000 in guaranteed cash will be paid out over 4-nights this August. Held during the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals, we will now pay four nights of $5,000 to win in Bracketeer. In addition, the Pro class will offer four nights paying $2,000 to win. And even though the purse was extensively expanded this year, no increase in entry fees will occur for Firebird's "signature event". In addition, the popular Top Fire class returns with two big 12-car fields for both open wheel and full-bodied. New for 2008, the Heavy class will make its first appearance at the Nightfire for cars or trucks running 11.50 to 14.99 seconds. Additionally, the Snow/Bike class will be on deck daily. A veteran for over a quarter-century at the Nightfire, this picture dates back a couple of decades when Mark Kidd raced his colorful orange Chevelle up and alongside of Stan Keller. Pre-entry forms are now available by contacting Firebird at 208 938-8986 or dropping us an email.
