Twig Zeigler returned to his second straight Pepsi Nightfire event with his re-created Pizza Haven Satellite. As the winner of the inaugural Nightfire 500 back in 1972, Zeigler qualified with an impressive 6.20 and won the opening round of eliminations during the Key Bank Saturday Night Thunder. And although he lost in the second round of eliminations on Sunday evening, Zeigler most definitely gained the admiration of all the fans who attended Firebird's "signature event". It was great seeing one of the original 70's fuel pilots running with many of the premiere teams on the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage circuit.
