Over the years, there's been quite a variety
of very cool names for race cars, especially in the
nitro Funny Car ranks. Just think back in time and
you quickly land on catch-names like: the Snake,
Blue Max, the Ace, 240 Gordie, the Action Man, the
King, the Mongoose, and the list goes on and on. One
in particular that really tripped our trigger was
this AA/Funny Car from 1982 of Gary Burgin known as
the "Orange Baron". Given today's Funny Car craze,
we thought it would be fun to portray this colorful
picture from Tucson we dug out of the archives and
maybe, just maybe somebody might want consider
replicating (or recreate) this name/paint scheme in
the modern era. Plain `n simple, we just dig it.
