For those of you who thought Mark Kidd only drove dragsters would be mistaken. A good part of his tenure in racing was spent behind the wheel of a door car. In 1990, he debuted this Chevy II at the Ignitor Division 6 point’s race and walked away with the Super Gas title. Racing John Campoy, Kidd nailed a 10.21 on a 10. 20 dial against a perfect 10.20 to score one of 18 NHRA Wally trophies that he has captured over the years. More recently he was awarded the Racemaster award at the 43rd Annual Banquet after better than three decades of racing at Firebird. Image by Rich Carlson
