Pro Modifieds have long been one of the prime attractions every August to the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals. Any of you that have been around more than a few years will also remember the fact we featured the Pro Modified Doorslammers at the Fox Hunt, too. In fact, Pro Mods raced at the Fox Hunt for over a dozen years. Returning for the first-time in several seasons will be the first point’s stop in the West Coast Outlaw Pro Modified Association. In case you didn’t know – this is the real deal. 6-second, 240 mph door cars battling door handle to door handle in orchestrated battles over a measured quarter-mile. Many of the top runners in the western United States and Canada will be rolling into the 34th Annual Fox Hunt for an open, qualified field of blown and nitrous doorslammers on Friday and Saturday, June 24th and 25th. Looking back in time, this is both Kirk Kuhns (first in the 6’s in a blown doorslammer at Firebird), near lane, and the `57 Chevy of Trevor Lowe. If the early interest in Firebird’s two major doorslammer events is any indication of the magnitude of who’s comin’ in June and August – you’d better hang onto your hats `cause it’s going be positively WILD!
