Not exactly sure when or who this, but
it’s pretty obvious it’s either 1968 or 1969 as two
AA/Fuel Dragsters battle it out down the fledgling
new Firebird race plant. The photo is taken from
the down track grandstands and really shows what
Firebird looked like when the track first opened. What’s
interesting to us is that cars and trucks parked up and
down the front entrance and people (possibly officials)
actually stood within a stone’s throw of the race track.
