One of the first two AA/Funny Cars to race at Firebird was the Al Karnes Dodge back in September of 1968. Karnes, pictured here in the Firebird pit area, raced the Charlie Wilson-owned “Vicious Too” `68 Camaro driven by none other than Dale Pulde.
