New Sportsman track champion Joseph Karnes has been a part of the Firebird scene for quite a number of years now. This photo dates back one decade, back before he started running his cool injection system. But one of the more amazing aspects of Karnes racing program, even today running a Cuda that is capable of running well into the 12’s, he prefers to drive his Plymouth to and from the track (without the aid of a trailer). Congratulations to the Eagle resident who collected top honors in the Boise Muffler Series by the narrowest of margins, just two rounds of racing. Add to that his NHRA King of the Track (Wally) title and 2012 could be considered a success all the way around for Team Karnes.
