Shayne Schaefer has won quite a number of races and track championships in his racing career that now spans several decades. If you step back twenty-seven years to 1985, this is Shayne in the location of the original winner’s circle (on the starting line) following a win at the Fall High School & Gold Cup race. After graduating in `84 from Meridian High, this is in all liklihood the celebration following a win in Pro eliminator. Shayne raced the same car he campaigns today, his “Thunderfoot” Mustang. As always, it’s fun looking back to the early years.
