In the mid-70's, both the "Bad Company" of Dave Goff and the "Starvation, Too" Wagon of Mike Hyatt battled it out in Gold Cup competition. Goff won a number of track championships (including his first thirty years ago [`74] in the Mint class-the second year of Gold Cup racing) with his Mopar, while Hyatt was a point's victor, too, winning back-to-back titles in Showdown eliminator in `76 and `77.
