Nitro will again "Rock the Valley Floor" this April at the 34th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor presented by Dan Wiebold Ford. In this 1986 image, Ricky Ruiz drove his "Nevada Rattler" AA/Funny Car to his first Firebird winner's circle by scoring the Nitro Funny Car title at the Ignitor. Ruiz will return this April with his wild AA/Fuel Altered to compete against a number of top flight Fuel Altereds at the oldest major drag racing event in the Pacific Northwest. Nitro cars have been a part of the Ignitor Opener dating back to the very first year (1971) when none other than Don "the Snake" Prudhomme captured the inaugural event in his Hot Wheels Cuda.
