Absolutely beautiful weather greeted racers and show participants for the 28th edition of the Snap On Oldies Drags. Presented by Project Filter, the event saw better than 400 entrants attend the event from five states and Canada.

There were many outstanding performances. Take for instance Rich Roberts. He whistled off the quickest AA/Supercharged run in Firebird history. During the opening round he ran 6.79, lowering the one-year old mark by Chuck Moore, which stood at 6.87. Steve Woods would prevail in the end, running a very strong 6.82 in the final when Roberts couldnt stay in the groove in the early part of his run. Congratulations to Steve Woods, Chuck Moore and the Grocery Outlet team for pulling off a win the Chicago-style shootout.

Matt Moreira proved unbeatable, too. Driving the Villain Blown Roadster, the second-generation racer carded a 6.33 and a 6.27 to topple the sluggish performance by Dale Harsin.

In sportsman action, Canadian Dan Paterson carded the events top sportsman performance. Driving the Woodowmaker `23 T Roadster from Chestermere, Alberta, Paterson ripped off back-to-back 6.76 laps, while competing in the popular Pro Dragster eliminator.

As the photo montage reflects, the upper pro pit area was packed with top quality rides. In fact, this years show pits attracted the largest two-day turnout of show `n shine entrants in Oldies history.
